Will Take Place Online

Hass Avocado producers or importers who are eligible to run for a seat must submit a nomination online*. Check back on February 27, when nominations form opens.

Vote for nominees online*. Eligible Hass avocado producers and importers must register online by April 17 to receive a ballot via email. If you are registered, no action is needed.

New eligible producers and importers will receive information via U.S. mail to register online. Keep an eye out for this mailer and for the open seats announcement on February 27.

  • Feb 27 Announcement of open seats and solicitation of nominations. Online nominations and voter registration process opens.
  • Mar 27 Deadline to submit nominations to HAB.
  • Apr 13 Deadline for nominees to submit Nominee Information and Declaration of Eligibility via email.
  • Apr 17 Deadline for eligible producers and importers to register to vote.
  • Apr 27 Ballots are sent out to eligible producers and importers.
  • May 26 Deadline to submit votes.
  • Jun 01 CPA provides final voting results to HAB.
  • Jun 03 HAB requests Background form from top nominees per official voting results.
  • Jun 12 Deadline for top nominees to submit Background form.
  • Jun 22 HAB submits nominations packet to AMS and USDA Secretary.
  • Nov 01 Term begins for new members and alternates.
